I have the honour to bring to the notice of His Excellency The Governor the frequency of Street robberies, and more especially along the Praya, committed on Masters of Vessels and Seamen, landing or going off their ships in harbour, and the great necessity of better protection in providing a small detective force to meet the urgency of the case, who may act in aid of the Constables on their regular Beat duties.
